Sydney and Zach met like many modern-day couples do - on a dating app called Hinge! Zach asked Sydney to meet him at Il Bracco in Dallas, Texas for their first date. Zach had no idea, but Il Bracco was Sydney's favorite restaurant. Upon meeting at the restaurant, the two instantly hit it off and the rest was history. As Sydney and Zach would say it, they dated "aggressively", doing anything and everything together for the foreseeable future! Coincidentally enough, their second date, (pictured above) was at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Little did we know that we would return back to the Stockyards in 2.5 years for our wedding!

On Zach and Sydney's first ski trip together in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the two went snowmobiling with friends. Zach was the driver, naturally, as anyone who knows Sydney knows she prefers to be the passenger princess. In true Zach fashion, Zach decided to take the snowmobile off of the groomed trails and into the wilderness. It wasn't minutes after this that the snowmobile flipped, and the two were thrown off into the deep snow (pictured below).

After a year or so of dating "aggressively" and flipping (only one) snowmobile, Zach asked Sydney to marry him on his family's ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado! Zach claims Sydney knew the engagement was happening the entire time, and Sydney stands by her story that she didn't suspect a thing! ;)

It was the most beautiful Labor Day weekend in the mountains spent celebrating with both Sydney and Zach's families.

As our story and engagement show, family and friends mean the world to both of us. We can't wait to spend December 6, 2025, with each of you reading this, as we become Mr. and Mrs. Cate!
